Wheels for a Day
Celebrating its fifth year, Wheels for a Day is held during 'Spinal Injuries Awareness Week' and is a registered event of International Day of People with a Disability and the NSW Governments Don't DISmyABILITY campaign. This year the main feature will be an exhibition wheelchair rugby game featuring a team of NSW wheelchair rugby players versus a team of former Wallabies. The rules of the match will replicate wheelchair rugby, although the contact level will be minimised to avoid injury....for the Wallabies!!! Join the fun and watch the two competitive rugby teams battle it out in the middle of Sydney's Martin Place. Have a laugh, see your Australian heroes and raise awareness for the day to day challenges of SCI.

Each year McDonalds hosts one of Australia`s largest fundraising events for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Every McDonalds store gets behind the event with a variety of activities. In the lead up to the big day community groups and corporates raise funds to meet the goals of this unique event. In 2009 over 2 million dollars was raised to help more seriously ill children around Australia.

Celebrate International Day for People with a Disability at the inaugural ParaQuad NSW Golf Day and support life choices for people with a spinal cord injury. The ParaQuad NSW Golf Day is run as part of The Charity Challenge, and is a registered event of International Day for People with a Disability. The Charity Challenge has been designed so you can enjoy a day’s golf whilst making a difference and helping us support people with a spinal cord injury to achieve their life choices. You will feel the tension and excitement of a real teams event tournament with the AGU qualified winners and second place getters on the day earning a spot in the Charity Challenge Final in November 2011.
